What Makes ReShine Earth Dishwasher Sheets Different
Share
Every second cleaning brand these days slaps "eco-friendly" on the label and calls it a day. We get why people are sceptical. So instead of asking you to just trust the packaging, we figured we'd explain what's actually going on inside our sheets — and why it makes a real difference at the sink.
We started ReShine Earth because we were sick of the trade-off. Either you bought a "green" product that barely cleaned, or you bought something that worked but came wrapped in a plastic tub full of chemicals you couldn't pronounce. We didn't think that should be the choice. So here's what we did differently.
We use solid enzymes, not liquid ones
Most eco dishwasher sheets on the market are built around a liquid enzyme base. It's cheaper and easier to manufacture, but it means the active cleaning power gets diluted to hold the sheet together. Some of the cheaper alternatives go even further and cut it so thin you're basically washing with water.
We went the other way. Our sheets use a top-tier solid enzyme formula, so there's a lot more actual cleaning power packed into each one. In practice, that means half a sheet handles your everyday load, and a full sheet takes care of the tough stuff — baked-on dinner trays, the kids' grass-stained lunchboxes, whatever your dishwasher usually struggles with. You're not paying for filler. You're paying for the bit that does the work.
They work in any dishwasher — no fine print
We hear this question a lot: "will it work in my machine?" Fair question, because plenty of eco brands quietly exclude certain dishwashers in the small print.
Ours don't. Whether you've got a Fisher & Paykel dish drawer, a benchtop unit, or a standard full-size machine, our sheets are formulated to work across the board. No compatibility checklist, no asterisks.
A light lemon scent — not something that lingers
We keep our dishwasher sheets scented, but only just. There's a light lemon fragrance, nothing overpowering, and nothing masking anything — because there's nothing to mask. No harsh chemicals means no need to cover up a nasty smell with a strong artificial one.
(If you're after fragrance-free specifically, that's actually a laundry sheet thing for us — our laundry range comes in cherry, lavender, or unscented. Our dishwasher, toilet, and floor sheets are all lightly lemon-scented.)
Septic tank safe, properly
If you're on tank water or a septic system, you'll know not everything under the sink is safe to send down the drain. Harsh detergents can throw off the bacterial balance a septic system relies on to actually work.
Our sheets are plant-based and biodegradable, so they're safe for septic tanks and waterways. No workarounds, no "use sparingly" warnings — just one less thing to think about.
Why any of this actually matters
Look, we know "eco-friendly" gets thrown around until it stops meaning much. What we hear from people who switch to us is pretty simple: their dishes actually come out clean. Not "clean for an eco product" — just clean. No residue, no pre-rinsing required, no compromise.
If you've been comparing sheet brands and wondering what's really different between them, it mostly comes down to what's inside. A proper solid enzyme formula isn't a marketing line for us — it's the whole reason the product works the way it does.
